I talked to a friend about it and we identified it is more about learning to be gracious rather than sandwiching, because it is more of a critical attitude about others rather than criticizing the actions of an individual to them.

Books: Fiction involving magical powers/fantasy, Ann Rynd novels, Piper books, serious short stories with interesting characters that occur in interesting places not requiring too much plot. Red is Best.
