Currently I am working on a paper about Ontario’s Ombudsman. I don’t think I quite understand how this independent office of legislature functions. I wish I did, as then it might be easier to discuss.
I went to London on the weekend. Many adventures were had. I was able to get on an earlier bus to London from Toronto than anticipated, which was excellent, as what was to be a 2.5 hour bus ride turned into 4.5 hours, due to a snow storm. On the way there, the driver kept making an announcement that there was no smoking on the bus. I was thinking it was really weird, that someone would feel free enough to light up with their bus buddy sitting so close to them. It turned out someone kept going to the washroom. Eventually the bus driver yelled at him, and told him off for pretending to be sick, and that he was going to let him off near the next restaurant. The man told him he couldn’t do it. But the bus driver did. It was pretty amazing. It was so cold outside, and there was no way wherever he was dropped off had a bus or train terminal.
I went to my first Superstore selling grown up clothing. I think that actually may have been my highlight. This grocery store had a gym, a kitchen (for cooking classes), a dietician and pretty much everything else anyone would ever want. Plus they sold pretty bags of bean sprouts.
High school musical was pretty fantastic. It was both the first and second. As I hadn’t seen the second one, I was fairly impressed. I think I like the plot and the songs better when they are at the summer resort.
I have more London things to say. But I feel I will want to take many breaks while writing about Andre Marin. So I will continue later.
