I SIQ’d my Right's Controversies class today. It is a class where most people are quite up front about their views on religion. Although one girl approached me in the washroom about how she thought the questions were interesting, no one was interested in leaving their contact info. One boy (hater of religion ) who came in late saw it on his desk. He glanced at it and asked his friend (neutral to religion) what the heck it was, in a fairly hostile manner. His friend told him to ask the girl beside him (me). He was then much more polite, but told me he didn’t want to fill it out. I found it amusing and was thankful how his tone changed once he realized any comments he was about to make would be against someone he knew.
Completely unrelated, I watched some of Gladiator the other day. I think the character Russel Crowe played in it was the perfect man, due to his love of his family, respect for the original emperor, distain of the crowds, and his attitude towards the idea of killing for entertainment. Also, I kinda thought his ability to continually pwn in fighting was pretty impressive. I told one of the girls I am discipling that we should watch it at a girl's social. She asked if it was for the purpose of identifying traits we should be looking for in our future husbands. ha.
And I wonder if I would Hermione Granger's (from Harry Potter) friend if she really existed, or if I would find her annoying. I like how her name looks written out.

Not having read the books, I am making this judgment based on the movies. She doesn't really have any female friends, so she might be desperate for some female companionship. That would bode well for you. She's kind of pouty though, where our friends...aren't. I wonder whether that would bother you.
It's interesting that you think that Gladiator should be played at a girls social. You wouldn't think of that typically, you'd rather typically think of it being shown at a guys social. I see not problem with it, though.
Gladiator is a great movie! HAHAA... who said that about future husbands?? Please do not use Gladiator as a basis for a relationships talk. That would kinda ruin the movie...like making it slightly more flowery and all. Hermione is good friends with Ron's sister Ginny. She's also friends with Luna Lovegood, I believe. I'm not a huge Emma Watson fan, but I do like Hermione's character.
i also really like gladiator. i think it's one of my favourite movies. didn't someone (adam i think) say that gladiator is a chick-flick in disguise?
ha. I have never heard that. But I would agree with it.
really? i thought it was one of those YA topics that's been brought up millions of times (like double-eyelids)
Maybe that was before I came? That movie has been around a really long time. Ha.
Single eyelids still really confuse me. I made Sarah Jeong open and close her eyes for me last night like six times. I think they fold under right? Cause that skin doesn't just disappear.
