Dear Mons,
At Young Adults last week we discussed an element we most desired a movie to contain. I think you would enjoy this icebreaker.
Answers were:
-a furry creature
-kissing (even in single gender movies, through affectionate greetings)
-romance (even in single gender movies, it could refer to a past/long-lost/long-distance-letter-writing love)
-Jack Black
-dancing
-an element of wisdom
-an underdog
-emotion
P.S. I can’t wait to see Where the Wild Things Are. Not only does it contain furry/cute creatures, the trailer features Arcade Fire (a montreal band). Though…there is no Arcade Fire on the actual soundtrack . Something else that is neat, the original book was only ten sentences long (says Wikipedia). I think that is impressive. Oh. And the boy’s name is Max. I think that is the perfect name for a boy in a movie. Much better than Rafael or …Fredrick. (I just re-watched the trailer. Eeek. So cute!).
