But the wild things cried, “Oh please don’t go- We’ll eat you up-we love you so!” And Max said, “No!”
In the movie this line is altered to a singular, “I don't want you to go, I'll eat you up I love you so.”
While I think this line makes the movie worth seeing, most would disagree.
It isn’t happy, kids would be bored watching it (S.J. said when she went to see it, all the kids in the theatre were running around because they didn't like it), and Max really deserved to be told off by his mom when he returned home, which didn't happen.
Max’s home life seemed very realistic, but in that it was kinda sad and emotionally distressing. But overall the move was nice looking, Max’s wolf suit was magnificent and so was his crown.

Additionally, that the song by Arcade Fire from the trailer was not included in the movie was a ridiculous decision, as Karen O's songs sounded pretty similar. Maybe others would disagree, but I think the songs in the movie had the same sort of feel as the trailer song.
